Skanking PC Salesmen

You know, it proper does my head in. I give someone a load of good advise on what to look for in a new laptop, and the salesmen they go see promptly re-assures them that the laptop infront of them, lacking all the key points, is exactly what they need.

For me it's pretty damn simple

1) Intel CPU - if you want it stable, just don't risk it
2) Intel Chipset - as above
3) Dedicated graphics chip - you don't want the performance hit of shared graphics, especially when Vista becomes mandatory
4) Windows XP - never, ever, ever buy version 1 of any OS. Vista is not ready yet, walk away.
5) Shiny Screens - must admit I'd fogotten about this, but if it's got a shiny screen, walk away. it's gonna drive you up the wall and give you a migrane.

So no surprises when my poor dad comes home with

1) AMD CPU
2) NVidea Chipset
3) Shared Graphics
4) Windows vista
5) Glossy "Crystal" screen.

I hate salesmen, all of them, fucking rip off bastards. They will all burn in hell when their time comes.
